Atlético Huila, is a Colombian football club based in the city of Neiva, that competes in the top division of the Colombian professional football (soccer) league. The club was founded in 1990 and plays home games at the Guillermo Plazas Alcid stadium, which has a capacity of approximately 22,000. Huila played their first final in the Futbol Profesional Colombiano in 2007, finishing in 2nd place. In 2009, Huila played another final, also finishing in 2nd place.

Deaths of Mario Beltrán and Herman Córdoba

On 20 September 2009, first team player Herman Córdoba and reserve team player Mario Beltrán were killed in a car accident.[1]
